2010 Mobile Market Overview: from the best and the peace

Apple was the biggest winner, surpassing several companies and slipping comfortably in the fifth global position in terms of units shipped. After all major manufacturers posted their Q4 financial reports it's time to draw the line and see what has changed over the past year.

The quarterly Results that Q4 2010

It has a great performance given that the Cupertino based corporate sells only high-end smart phones, and it only keeps two models for sale in a individual instant. What is even more impressive are the Apple development in the fourth quarterly 2010, when it comfortable distanced the BlackBerry in time for the world 4: e spot.

Major note We have to do so. RIM did not follow the the calendar quarters of the reporting as all other mobile manufacturers. The only official information we have about their sales is the profit in the their latest reporting, that the period of August 1927 until November 27, 2010 includes. Therefore in principle the Canada business Q4 results do not include the on sale in in December 2010

Annual outcome in 2010
There no changes first three to annual global position in the market is concerned, even if Nokia has lost a great deal of their leadership. Another year or two, as he might to see it relegation to the second location.

LG had rough year, even though they they are still in the third place in the world, could not quite maintain pace Samsung, so increases.

Rather, it is tight battle between Command and RIM. Sony Ericsson's global secure sixth place at Motorola, but only just. And HTC is quickly filling the the gap on the the Motorola, so we'll surely see some re-mix between next year.

Again the if you read the table the following, have in mind that RIM for 2010 year results of include only the sales figures of between the 27 November 2009 27 November 2010, rather than entire the calendar year 2010.

2011 will probably see the producers of Android and WP7 devices (Samsung, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and HTC) get more market share than the IOS growth will struggle to that of the two new platforms to match. Apple will probably still enjoy solid rise in sales for at least a year, while Sony will likely lower its slide to continue.

Sony will probably manage the first of next year holds, but they really need to get their game or we can create a new global leader will see in January 2012. It MeeGo smart phone so that everyone might like to see at their best chance to return to the winning ways.

GSM

Why GSM over CDMA?
This is one of the questions that strikes anyone buying a new phone. Should I buy GSM or a CDMA? As most of us know these are two different genres of phone numbers or we can say SIM cards available in the market. Common people have nothing to do with the technicalities of the two but they should know why they should prefer GSM over a CDMA phone. We will not go in the technical part and talk about the two in the most common language.
The first and foremost reason you should buy a GSM phone is that, the SIM cards provided by the service providers or network carriers and are not locked to the phone. This means if you decide to buy a new SIM card of a different operator you do not need to change the phone. Whereas in a CDMA, the SIM cards (called R-UIM) are locked to the cellphone. This means in a specific handset you can use a specific network carrier only. The disadvantage here is the fact that you need to change your phone if you buy a new CDMA SIM. This makes the older phone waste and thus economic loss.
Secondly the network coverage by a GSM network will always be greater than a CDMA provider. If you are in some rural areas, chances are you will suffer from low connection and quality on a CDMA as compared to a GSM. The main reason can be that GSM providers usually partner to provide good services in rural areas and this doesn't cost so much to the companies. While if CDMA providers decide to do so, they need to put in a lot of funds and thus customer gets the same connectivity at a much higher rate than a GSM user.
When it comes to international roaming, GSM is a sure shot winner. In a foreign country, you can always buy a new SIM card and use your old phone which can not be the case with SIM-Locked CDMA Phones. Thus no international traveller prefers CDMA while in ther countries.
The only advantage of CDMA over GSM that I found was the data transfer speed. Both technologies boast of 3G but CDMA is more capable of providing higher and stabler data connections than a GSM phone.
